Nephew long-tall Paul hit a milestone Tuesday. He passed driver's ed and has his learner's permit. Time sure flies, seems like just yesterday he was a babe in arms.
My brothers and sister and I were remembering some of our learner's day stories. I remember learning with the station wagon stuffed with eight people, pop-up camper towing behind, in Sunday traffic going to Silver Lake. What the heck were my parents thinking? I could have wiped the whole dadgum family out!!!
There were also the stylistic differences of my parents. I remember a dog in the road. "Brake," said Dad. "Blow your horn," said Mom. Okay.
How did you learn to drive?
